Hello everyone,

Have you ever heard of ooVoo? It's a bit like Skype only more sophisticated. I created a free account last night and would like to test its functionality. So if you are interested in trying out Oovoo, simply use the following link to video conference call me: http://webvideocall.oovoo.com/callme/english-team/310

You can also download the program for free here: Ever heard of ooVoo?

Speak to you on ooVoo soon,
Torsten

Hello Torsten,

I checked out the link the other day when you mentioned it. I can't use it on this laptop but if I go upstairs to my desktop PC I can make video calls. I'll download it this weekend and we can try it out some time if you'd like. The only issue for me with it, like I said, is that I can't use it on my laptop and I spend most of my time downstairs with the laptop. But if it's a scheduled call and won't interrupt my husband (or vice versa) then I can always go upstairs for a bit.

Take care!
Megan

Hi Megan,

The good thing with ooVoo is that you don't need to download anything if you just want to take part in a video conference. Only if you want to initiate a session you need the program.

I look forward to testing ooVoo with you.

Many thanks,
Torsten

Hi Kati,

In order to speak to me on ooVoo you don't need to install any additional software. Just use your browser. At this point I can't say when I'll be on ooVoo but I will let you know.

Many thanks,
Torsten

Hello Torsten,

I 've already installed an ooVoo software. I had to ask a permission because it makes a hole on my firewall. It is now okay. Do you think that I have to delete this software?

Hi Kati,

No you can keep the program on your computer. It has quite a number of useful features that you can try out when calling other people.
