Hello,

What's the difference between following two sentence?

1- We were trapped in the building. We couldn't go out.
2- We were trapped in the building. We couldn't get out.

Best regards.

To get out is the right choice. It means "to escape"

If you are trapped then 'to get out' is the standard English accompanying term.
