Thank you for the e-mail. After I received an e-mail to unsubscribe I found a rules that we can or be obliged to answer the e-mails we receive to stay subscribed.
About the article. When I started to read it, my first impression was that the subject will be for not to tell lies to our children. It appears to be about Christmas. That I found relevant to me were few English expressions about lies.
I think this is a step NOT to unsubscribe me from this site.
I didnt know that rule.

Hello Everyone,

I also received e.mail like you that "Unsubcribe e.mail". I also confused with that
system & rules of ETN. Anyway this e.mail will affect not only new members but also existing members
of the forum. I want the ETN to make clear information about this so that no one
will not get confused when they receive e.mail. I want ETN to be informative about
your present rules and regularations..

Thank you

Hi thank you S.Shanthi to share about unsuscribing e-mails.
I would so kindly ask the developers of the site to announce the new rules.
If the site is NOT for everyone so let us know.

This site is not for everyone. It is only for those who do what the administrators of this forum want. As soon as you voice an opinion they do not like you fall from grace.

Hi! Thank you for your story "should you tell lies". I have two children. We live in St Claus
country, Finland. I have told them truthfully that St. Claus is a character working in St Claus workshop in Rovaniemi in Lapland,North Finland. I have explained that that guy`s
job is to act as a Father Christmas and he has a costume. He has a workshop and plenty
of gnomes also! So in some way Santa Claus do exist. With kind regards,Oinas.

Hi everybody !

Who never said a lie ? probably... none of us. Are lies and lies, good one, like "white lie" or bad lie, we did it with good or bad intensions.......To lie about Father Christmas I don/t think is so "awful "....... we did and do it to our children because during Christmas time is a magic period, everything turn into something good, magic, we transform ourselves in better persons, more generous, closely with others... My childhood was so nice, I believed in Father Christmas and his magic world and I wasn't disappointed when I found out the true...I am an adult now and I love Christmas. So, as parent, I tried to create the same "fairytale world" to my sun about Father Christmas....and he was so happy and I with him... it's not such a bad thing to be a child sometimes....

hi #24 (permalink) Wed Oct 19, 2011 20:18 pm   hi

Thank you for your comment White Russian:) Are you one of the developers of the site? Or you express your opinion?:) telling me that I am not for this site:))

I think that here is not the army order, but site where people are active and are here to improve their English. Expressing opinions is one of the ways to improve your English.

I dont know which country are you from and how tolerant are you.
What I learn from the English people is to be tolerant.

Hi Vannylm6,

thanks for your appreciation.
Regarding your question, in that period in our country Father Christmas was replaced with Father Frost (officialy). Were not allowed to talk about Father Christmas in public but in our families we always celebrated Christmas as now and not preferably New Year. Officialy was New Year.

Hi Danilila,
hope your day is nice. May be you have snow there?
Thank you for your answer. I am Bulgarian. So it was the same Father Frost and New year.
I think Christmas is a very nice and magic day. The day when we can make our children's eyes glittering and make happy people we love.

regards

Vanny
