I do own the orchard and work hard tending to my trees.
What does tending mean here?

The person has an orchard and works hard to care for the trees on the orchard.

Trees need lots of work: Watering, pruning, make sure insects are destroying it, etc. So one needs to care for and work to keep the tree healthy. Someone needs to tend to the trees.
