If someone who travels a lot and very much bothered by the jet-lag and heavy schedules that are so demanding upon the physical strength and spirit, and says, "It's got me this far.", how should I interpret the meaning of "It's got me this far."

I think it probably means that this way of life has allowed the speaker to get by in life with some kind of success -- or at least earn a living.
