Hi Marcelo,
Let's take an example of a letter arriving by post through your door. Another person could pick up the letter and see your name on the envelope and say: It's for you. If the other person opens the letter and discovers that it is a letter beginning: Dear Marcelo, the other person would say: It's written to you.
