"The girl wants to get herself married to Raman."
Is this sentence not correct?

I can't say that it's totally incorrect, however it sounds an extremely odd way of putting it!
These would all be preferable:
The girl wants to marry Raman.
The girl wants to get married to Raman.
The girl wants Raman to marry her.
The girl wants Raman to get married to her.

The original sounds as if she has some ulterior motive.

I agree. Maybe it's a wish for legitimatisation
