Hi everyone,

Would you please tell me how different the following two sentences are?

1. Only one year after the construction began, the building reached a full height of 300 meters.

2. Just one year after the construction began, the building reached a full height of 300 meters.

Many thanks!

There is no significant difference there,

I would say 'reached its full height' as the height is specific to that particular building.

"a full height" is not categorically incorrect, but, as Beeesneees said, "its full height" sounds better.

Beeesneees,
Can I write as below:
"Just one year after the construction beginning, the building reached its full height of 300 meters." ?
Which one is better to use 'began' or 'beginning'?
Is this question grammatically OK?
Please comment.

Hi,

The use of the phrase 'construction beginning' isn't an English pattern. I would say either: the beginning of the construction, or: the construction began.
