Topic: Many people have a close relatioship with their pets. These people treat their birds, cats, or other animals as members of their family. In your opinion, are such relationships good? Why or why not? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

So far, pets have gained an important role in human’s life. Many people agree that with the development of our society, pets should be treated better. This seems to be right that more and more people have at least one pet in their home and they tend to treat their pets as their family members. There are some reasons to explain this phenomenon.
First, pets, especially dogs, are human’s best friends. They are always trustworthy and loyal to their owner. They are loyal enough to not care if you are rich or poor; as long as you love them, they will give you their hearts with no other conditions. If you are tired of problems from work or school, they can patiently listen to you without cutting any of your words. They are also trustworthy enough that you can tell them all of your secrets without worrying those things would be spread out one day. Therefore, they are our indeed friends and they are worth treating well.
Second, not only do pets rely on us, but we also lean a lot on them. We have our responsibility to take care of them; in return, they themselves realize their duty to please us. Our life is full of pressure which often lead us to stress monster. Having pets means you can, less or more, get rid of this monster. They are great therapists. You will have no time to think of your problems because they always demand you to play with them. Then, they make you feel a lot better with their adorable faces and many ridiculous and funny actions. That is why people usually live better when having pets around them.
Last but not least, love is the fundamental factor of any long-lasting relationships. Although they cannot tell you how much they love you, they have ways to let you know that. They love you so much that they are always on your side no matter what happens. They love you so much that they can sit there for hours longing for you to come home. They love you so much that they can even scarify their lives to protect you. Thus, without words, they tell you that you are their family.
In short, pets mean much more than just animals. They cannot speak, but their loves show. They accept their owner as who he is. Hence, if you have a pet, make sure that you love them and treat them well so you will receive a lot more.
