Hello,

Here are lines from a student's homework assignment:

The dollar stayed steady for the first 2 months. Then it rose slightly between March and April. For the next 2 months it fluctuated and in June the dollar fell rapidly and reached the same level it had in January. The dollar reached its all-time high between April and June (1.00 euros).

I am not sure about 'reached the same level it had in January'.
Does it sound OK?

Thank you for the time and help.

I suggest

'fell rapidly and returned to the same level as it was in January'
