To improve the quality of education, universities should spend money on professor’s salaries.

With the fast development of society, the education system has grown from a tiny acorn to a mighty oak. Parents care about the education of their children. Government cares about the education of the future generation. And also the whole society cares about the education of young people. We all want to improve the quality of education system. However, here comes the dilemma whether it is a best way to improve the quality by increasing the teachers’ salaries. As far as I am concerned, I believe there are other ways much better than this for several reasons.

First of all, we should admit that giving a high salary is a good way to improve the education system. With a higher salary, teachers will put all their hearts into daily teaching. For example, teachers will spend more time preparing the class and finding new ways to make the class more interesting. What is more, teachers do not need to spend energy and time on a part-time job simply to make more money. As a result, the education will have a great improvement. A recent survey from Tsinghua University shows that 73.8% of teachers tend to work hard and want to improve the education quality after the increasing of salary. This survey can give us the conclusion that a higher salary will evoke the responsibility of teachers.

However, it is not the best way because only giving high salary is not enough. Some teacher will be the same and there are other ways such as using new modern equipment in the class to make it more efficiently. Nowadays, an increasing number of technologies have made our life easier and more efficiently. We can also put them in the traditional class and give the class new life. Using computers to show slides, teachers can easily give lectures and students can have a clearly outline. Using modern laboratory, students can do the experiment and acquire the knowledge more steady. Using new library, students can surf in the wonderland of books and absorb the knowledge they want. All those will enhance the quality of education. With a better environment and equipment, it will make the school more competitive and improve the education standard and this is far better than just increasing the money for it will really do benefits to students who receive education.

Beside that, we can also give teachers regular trainings to improve the quality. Teachers also need to learn and what they learn is critical for they are the one passing knowledge. With a good training, a teacher can learn the best way to teacher and give the knowledge in a gentle way instead of letting students to learn straight forward. The teachers in my school, Huiwen high school, always have trainings during summer and winter vacation. School invites education experts to illustrate the best way to pass knowledge and how to interact with students. With these skills, teacher can get the students attention during class and also can make them want to learn. More and more schools in China are having this kind of trainings and they also send teachers abroad to learn the modern way of teaching. Most students say that teachers who took training have better teaching skills and this can improve the quality of education from the deep inside which increasing incomes do not have.

All in all, increasing salary is a good way but it only contributes to the surface. If we really want to improve the quality of education, there are far better ways such as improving the equipment and giving teacher trainings. The future of the world depends on the young children and we should always make the best use of our money. Giving a higher salary will do less than those two ways. If you ask me what the best way to improve the education is, I would like to say the two I presented.
