The Dalai Lama tells the BBC he is very worried about the growing number of Tibetan monks and nuns setting themselves on fire, saying the tactic requires great courage but may not be effective.

You are now turning yourself into a fascist who once tortured your country. Are you forgetful who you were once especially when you were poor and friendless ? All your good neigbours provided and supported your food and soul? Think back 40's and 50's. Don't be so unwise.
