Hello Alan,

I think I can safely say that I follow all of it or almost all of it. (I could offer a transcription to prove it. :)) -- Well, when it comes to being able to hear what you are saying that is. When it comes to understanding every single expression, I think I follow but I am not so sure anymore. (In other words, I'd be afraid to attempt to translate your text from English into... English.) It's incredible how many different meanings such a little word can take on! Not to mention the large number of bewildering idioms where 'take' is the key word!

No one else? OK then here is my transcription -- the only part I was unsure of is the bit I've put in Italics:

A. What's your take on this latest gadget?

B. Personally I can take it or leave it.

A. I take it that you don't think much of it.

B. It's not that really. It's just that I don't take to technical things easily.

A. Oh, I do. I took to it like a duck to water.

B. Well, that's taking it a bit too far, isn't it?

A. No, not really. I take a magazine each week and saw a review about it earlier today.

B. You shouldn't take everything you read seriously.

A. I take your point, but the reviewer was very impressed.

B. I suppose it took his breath away, did it?

A. Now there's no need to take on so.

B. Well, was he taken with it?

A. Yes, he said he reckoned it has what it takes.

B. I reckon he was paid to say that and he's on the take.

A. Now that really takes the biscuit because you have no proof.

B. Don't take it the wrong way, I'm just saying what I think.

A. I think you should take that back.

B. I'll lend you one, I let you try it, then you tell me what you think.

A. OK, I'll take you on.

B. In the mean time, I think we should take it easy.

A. Yes, let's take five.
