Hi,

An idiom is a phrase or expression that is peculiar to a particular language and in most cases can't always be explained logically, word by word. 'Take it easy' would be an idiom. 'More haste, less speed' comes more under the heading of 'popular saying' or proverb.

Dear Alan!
Hear I am going to explain, how I understand the expression"all at sea".
It is a great essay with a deep thought. If you have fallen into"sea" it is not easy to get out of "sea". The waves roll in and tempt to keep you in.
Many of us surrendered and live with peace in "sea",however there are numbers of people who have happily reached the overland and make
our world so beautiful.

Regards
Daiga
