2 is the usual word order rather than 1. 3, for me, sounds the best sentence.
If you still have the dog, you might also say: My dog doesn't bark when I come home any more. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |

My dog gave up of barking on my comings home.
Any chances this sentence could be of the right ones? Thanks |

"My dog gave up of barking on my coming home" is possible, but it doesn't feel terribly natural to me. |

3 could mean that my dog was barking, but when I came home it stopped.
If you still have the dog then maybe - My dog has stopped barking when I come home. Otherwise maybe - My dog no longer barked when I came home.
Unlike BN I prefer the word in 1 than 2, the any more is too far from the bark in 1, for me. |

Thank you all. I think the word order in 1 would give one the impression that when I came home, my dog didn't bark any more. I think 3 is ambiguous. It could mean: a-When I came home, my dog stopped barking. Or b-My dog used to bark when I came home but he stopped doing that.
I would say the meaning that immediately comes to mind is "a". |

Thank you and my apologies Beeezseees.
I have this tendency to complicate things a bit, but I don't do it deliberately.
I am sorry.

It wasn't any one person in particular. Simply the fact that by the time I returned to this thread it was difficult to sort out which numbers everyone was talking about, especially with mention of numbers and letters. It was meant humorously. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |
