Hi,

'Satisfying' describes something that satisfies you and brings you satisfaction. The right amount of food can satisfy your appetite. 'Satisfactory' means of an acceptable standard. In the area of examinations you can reach a satisfactory standard, which means that you have got to a standard just above pass.
