Hi everyone,

The OALD says that cum laude/ magna cum laude and summa cum laude are used in American English. Can they also be used in British English.

Thanks Alexandro.

You could, of course, use the phrases, but they would not apply in general terms to the British Education System (though they do feature on my degree certificates), so you would usually only use them in the UK when referring to the US system.
