Can't you do something.../ Help me please #1 (permalink) Mon Nov 21, 2011 0:50 am   Can't you do something.../ Help me please

Hi everyone,

I was always told that 'anything' should be used in questions. However, yesterday, I heard a native English speaker say: 'Can't you do something about his behaviour?' Is that correct or not? I mean it sounds good to me, although I have my doubts.

Thanks Alexandro.

It's correct. "Something" here means more specific action than "anything".
