Are these sentences correct:
1-The shot hit near his head.
2-The bullet hit near his head.

He is fired upon and the bullet misses him by not much and hits something (a wall, a door, etc.).

Hi,

I would rephrase that to:The shot just (narrowly) missed his head/ The shot almost hit his head.
