It will take China at least 5 generations to get anywhere near the level of democracy the US or EU are at today.

Hi Dear Torsten!
You are the nice site owner of this www.english-test.net.
When you say something we all respect you.
'Never be reactive but we all should be proactive' -said Stephen Coy (one of the most influential 100 persons surveyed by the Time Mag few years ago)
Democracy debut from Greece thousand years ago but there is no plenty of democracy here!
Never mind, there is no pure democracy anywhere in the world except in England have few practices. We will talk impartial way from proper ground. Today's China have already occupied ( market) by the USA!
They(China with respect) are practicing everything those have come from Europe/USA except the 'dogma' communism!
Ask your all American friends how well they are in China! Ask English people whether they are satisfied or not during the 'Transition time of HKG in 1997. Nobody could even enter the Russ a yet!
Is this not an interesting matter Torsten dear??? _________________ Quazi,(46) a writer, thinker & humanist

Dear Mr. Minhajquazi,
You have good points. Well versed. I'd like to add something. If not because of Deng Xiaoping China won't be today's China. He IS true national leader of China, since Confucius has been long gone in the head and heart of today's China. And China's boom is only a bubble. Not like in the EU, the US and Japan. They still need maturity. Their brains are not well settled yet. They boomed by brawn so far. It may collapse any time. And lack of natural resources with an inflated population. China can't run marathon , my friend. Not truly promising in fact. Castle of sand?
Education, education, education my dear friend.
kind regards. Kyaw |

Hi dear Mr. Kwin!
Sorry, I differ with some true fact.
So far, I can remember It might have in 1984-- I was listening the 'Voice of America' about the Asian countries position in Mathematics in American Universities. Commentators made conclusion that Chinese students had gotten the highest position in Math leading to Indian among the American Universities for some years!
I don't have much knowledge about the present situation but everything is still saying so!
Do you have any idea how much they are paying only for learning English language per year? A large number of English speaking countries outsourcing firms have now been controlling by Chinese people from mainland with internet and excellence type of English language.
Please just see (one of much information) at upper home page of this 'Forum' at ESL cafe, go for Dave's cafe then you will just surprise -how many English teachers are they now searching compare to Bangladesh, Burma or Japan?
Again did you notice Chinese 'Olympic' event organizing capacity last time? Was it another bubble my friend?
My and your computers are made by China, no body could provide you such a little cost now!
Yes, you can illuminate your people with education, and so do I. Instead why do we make -beating about the bush? I am a blind one, will storm be stopped? Yes, The Moon has another side. China should practice more human rights. _________________ Quazi,(46) a writer, thinker & humanist

No one is perfect. China is thinking about the human rights as well. I am an optimist China is not an Iran.
Because what I am observing China likes English Language. It is the most important things.
Specialists say, when you like a language it does mean you have almost absorbed that culture. It is called cultural imperialism! I am surprised enough no where(from BKK to Seoul) except China I saw the The USA Today with numerous hands in the morning! _________________ Quazi,(46) a writer, thinker & humanist

Dear Mr. Minhajquazi,
Anyway, I'm not that optimistic about China. I foresee " economic depression in China in 10 years' time". And desperate China will invade and devour its smaller nations as it always does in history. Burma knows most about China than anybody else. I don't hate China. But I don't like China mentality at all. They are the best back stabbers. China has unofficially occupied half of Burma already. That's why Burma is kowtowing China today. Thanks to the EU and the USA's poor diplomacy on Burma throughout two decades and untill now.
kind regards. Kyaw. |

I still remember Mrs. Albright former foreign minister of the USA, singing DON'T CRY FOR ME CLINTON ( her own lyrics ) at the closing ceremony of Burma's membership to Asean in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1997. I felt so sad to see that the USA lost because of its poor diplomacy. They could have done better to beat China. But they didn't. And I know why. The US government was cheated by its own diplomats' false statements and reports they wrote in the nightclubs. I believe.

Dear Mr. Minhajquazi,
I know you are a very knowledgeable and highly educated man. But, I sincerely suggest that you should read history of China in details since you are now actively involving in the world's politics. I'm just a passive reader.

Wel come but I am not so qualified. I am a mediocre one.
True, I like to read world politics and literature. You know Tolstoy is one of my favorite writers! I am very much fond of Russian Nobel as well as American. That is why my views are a little critical.
I try to see the inner side of the world politics and I always reach to solve immediate.Because I never see any difficulty except man made calamity which is curable by cordiality. It has always come by wisdom.
I have some ideas about the Chinese politics last one hundred years. But my friend 'time is a great healer'. I have few ideas about the 'Russian' politics too since Tzar emperor.
Problem is more deep rooted than we think. We better illuminate our people with best education which is the best weapon in the world.
A great philosopher was living inside a cave for mocking the mundane life, and who refuted the proposal of the great Alexander-from the wisdom not courage. How could you forget these great man's contribution in the world -like Confucius and other in China?
State or Government is not the synonymous term!
Alexander was curious about him after conquering that area, a hermit lives in a den! In a sudden day he went there to see him, asked, 'what I can do for you sir?' 'I am the great Alexander'!
Diogenes was basking in the sun, replied with smiling, 'What you can't give me, you have no right to take it from me'. 'Please go away from the sun right now'!
Alexander understood immediate how much wise the hermit was. We need few Diogenes es inside the every third world country!
Diogenes es are not luring for money except knowledge. Clear My friend?
You and I am waiting for them.

Dear Mr. Minhajquazi.
I would like to give you a free tip . Yesterday evening I chanced to talked about Chinese with my mother in law of 73. She said Chinese are industrious, but crooked. She bent her forefinger like a hook to enhance what she said. This is how we learn and keep in our mind about Chinese. In fact Burmese came down from China too. I hope our experience would be useful for you one day. ( There are many Chinese swindlers in Burma, under Burmese names to do business to avoid taxes and making our girls prostitutes. ). Oh dear..
kind regards. Kyaw |

Mr. Kyaw Min Lwin I don't think these sweeping generalisations are conducive to a good atmosphere on these forums. We have many Chinese members who live good, honest lives. Thankfully they also seem to exercise enough humility not to rise to your continued baiting. I appreciate that there has been bad blood between your two countries and I know that your views are coloured by your upbringing, but I wish you would reconsider using these areas to put forward your political nationalistic views. Sometimes they are quite racist in tone. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |
