N.Gregory Mankiw is economics professor at Harvard University. As a student, he studied economics at Princeton University and MIT. As a teacher, he taught macroeconomics, micronomics, statistis and principles of economics.He even spent a summer long time ago as a sailing instructor at Long Beach Island.
Professor Mankiw is a profilic writer and a regular participant in academic and polic debates. For me, pure English with good accent , means with some skill of the pronunciation when speak a sentence, such as liaison, stress, etc. And way of speaing, like fast, slow, loud, light etc will express different meaning.

as I am not the native speaker, I have,'t the setting and culture of that. So I dont know how to express sth by the accent.
