Grammatical and written question #1 (permalink) Fri Dec 02, 2011 14:07 pm   Grammatical and written question

Hey guys, how are you?

I have a really important question (for me).
I'm talking about the following sentence:

"Great Brothers arise from great moments."

Does this sentence make sense? Is it right, written with "arise from"?
Please help me to correct the sentence correctly. Grammatically and witten?

I am grateful for every answer and thank you very much.

"arise from" is fine in itself, but the sentence as a whole does not make much sense to me. What do you mean by "Great Brothers"? Is it possible you mean something like "Great friendships"?

First, thank you for your answer. Yes, exactly. The thing I wanna say is, that in Great moments people become friends and in a next step they are like brothers (meaning really good friends).

So, how do I have to change my sentence? Doesn't it work like I wrote it....? Like:

Great brothers arise from great moments....

Thank you

For me, your sentence does not work. You could perhaps say "Great friendships arise from great moments spent together."
