Hi everyone,

In OAL I found the following explanation for 'larger than life': 'looking or behaving in a way that is more interesting or exciting than other people, and so is likely to attract attention'.

So could you say: 'The characters in 'Dynasty' and 'Dallas' were larger than life.'? I mean I never saw an episode of either television series when they were aired in the eighties, but now that they've been released on DVD, I watch them with my grandmother. All the characters seem to be or are in fact 'larger than life'. Is my interpretation of 'larger than life' correct?

Thanks
Alexandro
