You can answer like this, for instance:

The writer is sarcastic.
The writer is sardonic.
The writer is being facetious.
The writer is being condemnatory.
The writer is being argumentative.
The writer is being supercilious.
The writer is judgmental.
The writer is supportive.
etc, etc.
