Hello,

Salmon use this information( differences in soil and vegetation of the drainge basin) as a cue for homing when they migrate through the home-streaming network to the home tributary.

What does ''homing'' mean? Does it mean as a verb, ''to aim at something''?

Thank you.

'Homing' of an animal = relates to an animal's ability to return to a place or territory after travelling a distance away from it.
Many birds have a strong homing instinct.

Thank you so much Beeesneees for explanation. It was hard to understand, I looked it up in a dictionary and couldn't get the point. Thanks again.
