Hello,
All the American cars are basically Chevrolet's.
Could someone please paraphrase the above sentence? I would like to know what the word 'basically' means and contributes to this sentence.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

'Basically' suggests 'to a large extent' 'fundamentally'.

Note also that there should be no apostrophe in "Chevrolets".
