Happy New Year Dear Torsten,
I want to thank you for your reply, and your advice about what English sessions I should take. You say that free Skype conversation sessions would be good for me, but don't I have to be among others students to have a conversation? I'm sorry not able to be in a class where I can talk with the other students, that would be the best way to move forward, but how can I do it. You probably know that I have been taking a lot of quiz test, I found quite interesting, and it's great to improve my vocabulary which I need it. I think that I will keep on taking tests until one of these day I get the lotto LOL! just kidding. One thing that got really bad is my spelling, but it's do to a prescription pill that I have been taking for quite a while, and one of the bad thing is loose of memory. My intelligence it's or it was above average, that make me feel cool. As we get older we know more and more.
Take care of yourself, and thanks a lot

Hello S.Shanthi,
Happy Pongal, to you. Until you mentioned it on the forums, I had not heard of 'Pongal', but now I have discovered it is a time of Harvest. I suppose that you have posted a picture of 'shakkara pongal' (sweet pongal) made from ghee, milk, cashews, lentils, rice and jaggery. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |

Hi Beeesneees Madam,
Thank you for your kind wishes for our Pongal Festival.
What you wrote it is "Shakkara Pongal" yeah, we will call like that only,
It will be more tasty & delicacies food, we will make it tomorrow and
Pray the God of "The Sun" for the happiness & Joys through out the year.
It is also called "Tamil New Year".

Thank you

Hello to everybody,
I have already wish a "Happy New Year, to everybody" but I'll do it one more time.
I wish you all students to reach your goal. Especially in improving your English, that is why we all are here to do so. I keep on getting emails saying "Happy New Year" but it does not show who is sending me these messages. If I'm not wrong I guess it's the people above me. There are quite a few to mention their name, but if you are the ones that have send me a Happy New Year.
I want to thank you, and wish you the same. I like Mr. Kitosdad the way he says, very simple, but nice. Some people like myself talk too much, and like to write a long wish for the New Year. I'm sorry if I repeat myself over and over. To all of you, have a great 2012. Regards from,

Dear Torsten,
How are you, I hope you had a wonderful holiday! I'm still wondering what I should take to move forward with my English. You have suggested to take a conversation, but I have explained that I'm not set up at home to do it. I'm very sorry. You are trying to help me and I have problems. If you can come up with something that I don't have to talk, instead I would like to write if you think that it will help with my English. Please let me know.
Regards,

Hi
If you don't want to receive messages from the "Topic Happy New Year" please click stop watch link you will not receive futher messsages from TRN "Happy New Year". If you feel that someone's message is lengthy you don't read the message, of course I would have been happy if the forum had instructed us not to write lengthy messages on the forum.
We are learners, we are learners/students to Sir Torsten, so don't write Dear Torsten instead of that you can write Torsten Sir/Dear Sir which one you like to follow it. For listening TOEIC, you should install Java in your computer I think, you please ask Our language Coach Ms.Beeesneees Madam, she will guide you for your request.
I think I have disturbed you by writing lengthy letter, sorry for that.
Wish you Good Luck.
Thank you

| I don't know what's wrong with "Dear Torsten." I have learned that "Dear xxxx" is a pretty common format to start a letter. It does not mean that you don't respect the person you are writing to, does it? |
