Hello,

Is my sentence proper?

The article is about an experience good which the passage defines as a good that consumers must have to use it at first before they can evaluate its qualities.

Thank you in advance.

I don't think it is because I don't understand it.

What is an "experience good"? I thought maybe you meant 'good experience' but this would not fit with the rest of the sentence.

You would say "must use at first" though, not "must have to use it at first".

A quick Google check confirms that "experience good" is perfectly acceptable.

But the 'at first' is unnecessary, you can just say " ... a good that consumers must use before they can evaluate ..."

Whoops, yes I meant to say "must use first", which is also ok, not "must use at first".
