1) The main entrance to the school.
2) The main entrance of the school.

In what context do we use 'entrance to sth' and 'entrance of sth'?

Thanks in advance.

Assuming "entrance" means a way into a building or other enclosed or delineated area, both "to" and "of" are usually possible. At least, I can't think of an example where one is correct and the other is incorrect. As far as nuances are concerned, "entrance to" seems to me to more strongly evoke the idea of actually using the entrance to go inside the place.
