Hello,

Could you please ascertain whether you agree with me about my opinion on the subject of the sentence constructions shown in the listening transcript? As far as I am concerned, the first sentence and the two immediate so-called sentences should make up one complete sentence—that is, there are no full stops before the words “Like” and “Or” nor capital letters for the words “Like” and “Or”.

Here is an excerpt from the listening transcript:

The sentence structure is OK. It gives the narrative a particular stylistic feel -- sort of "bright and breezy". This style would be too chatty for a very formal text, but it works fine here.
