What does he means by "I'm going to be history anyway!"

Son: I'm a little short... may I borrow your gas card?
Daughter: I need cash to chip in for gas, daddy?
Father: Here, just take my whole wallet...
Son: Cool!
Daughter: Wow! thanks, daddy!
Father: The way things are going, I'm going to be history anyway!

I'm not going to survive anyway.
(In this example he possibly means financially extinct, rather than unable to physically survive. It depends on whether or not any other context provides information about possible reasons for what he sees as his imminent lack of survival.)
It's important to realise that he is not being literal about this. 'I'm history' or the equivalent idiom, 'I'm toast', are often flippant remarks.

In this context, that means:
I need (extra) cash to put towards the payment I will need to make to buy gas.
