Hi,

Are the following sentences natural to a native ear?

1. I wanted to have them arranged alphabetically.

2. I am trying to set them in alphabetical order.

3. Do you mind me doing this?

Thanks,
MG.

1. OK.

2. Not impossible, but "put" seems more likely than "set".

3. OK. According to traditional formal rules it should be "my doing", but "me" is very widely used and accepted in everyday English.

"in an alphabetical order" is not completely impossible, but is usually less natural than "in alphabetical order" (regardless of the verb).

(Sorry, I missed that follow-up question somehow, else I would have answered.)
