Are these sentences correct:
1-John left the group, with Sally replacing him.
2-John left the group, Sally replacing him.
Meaning: John left the group and Sally replaced him.

3-With Sally joining the group, John left.
Meaning: John left the group because Sally joined it.

1 and 2: yes.
3: that's what I would guess but not necessarily.

Yes, the grammar is OK, though it reads a little odd outside of prefatory context.
