Correction:
Mothers should stay at home like they did in the old days.

Why don't you kick off the discussions you are posting, Kkebe? Perhaps that would encourage more people to get involved.

I agree that mothers should stay home as they did in the old days. Let's be honest: nothing can be better than a happy marriage. The man goes out to make a living; the mother stays home to care for the children when they return from school and to make delicious meals for her man. Of course, the world is so different today that such an ideal society is not possible. Many people get divorces; many men and women in this country leave each other, so that many children have only one parent. Women often have to work, for they do not have a husband. We cannot return to the good old days. And, of course, the old days were not so good! When I was born, there were no jet planes, TV, Internet, copy machines, cellphones, etc. Are there some bad things that exist now that did not exist when I was born? Of course, but it would be better not to discuss them.

Dear Mr. James,

I agree with you Mr. James. I also think that mother should stay home like they did in the old days. Taking care of the house work and raising children is a full-time job. However, it allows them to be with their children all the time. They will have time to prepare fresh meals, have clean houses, attend school meeting, help kids with school work, take kids to the zoo or place like that, and monitor their progress. They will be with the kids all the time.

In today’s society, women are increasingly encouraged to have marriage, children, and career. In my opinion, it is too much to handle for one person. Men are willing to help around the house work, but most women are not satisfied. Therefore, women work extremely hard to make it balance. The lacks of free time cause fatigue and stress in their marriage.

Thank you,

Thanks Bev.

I have just checked my position for 'Like' and 'As' grammar of English words. I want to add few more with permission.

Very interesting correction, it was.

Mothers should stay at home like they did in old days. I omit here only 'The',
may I do?

Like 'word' is -Adv. Pre. Conjunction, and verb.

'Smart mothers should not stay at home like the present days'. 'like' here Prep or Adv.?

I think it is above also correct. more:

I saw a number of hard things like stones.

He works in a Bank, like most of his friends. etc.

Only for sequence of tense, we must use here --'like they did' --like is here
conjunction.

I think, my analyzing is not going wrong!

Women never actually stayed at home. There was the ideology in the 19th/20th century that mothers should stay at home to raise the kids (which was often impossible and not true to reality), but especially in the centuries before then, women always worked alongside their men, especially in the fields and towns (as artisans, inn- and shop keepers). Women even had their own trade guilds. They never earned the same amount of money as the men (often they never even received their pay at all; their husbands did) and they didn't get credited for their work. Women took their babies along with them to plow and sow the fields, carrying them on their backs. Most often, the older children were also working at the tender age of three. That women were staying at home until recent times is a myth.

Hello Claudia,

Women fought for many years to be accepted as equal human being in the society. Indeed, they worked hard and never earned a penny. Even when they took care of children at home, they never received credit for it. Although they care for their own kids, but still it is a huge responsibility.
Most stayed home moms regretted for quitting their professional career, because they find it very difficult to go back to work after many years of out of work. Some end up getting divorced and left with nothing.

Regards,

Yes, Claudia.

The History tells us as you say.

We need mass mass education to understand what is myth and which one truth.

Dear KK.,

Please don't pretend anymore as a beginner of English since your English is revealing who you are. No beginners can write like you're doing now. You're writing perfect advanced English. I know who you are actually.

Don't forget I ALWAYS am smart guy with an IQ of 40. lol

Coming back to the topic: nowadays mother should stay at home in case, when she really want to!
