1. I had a small accident on the bypass road. This road was on the hill. I was riding a bike for the first time. I lost the control of ? and fell off the bike. My right knee bruised. I wrapped a bandage around my knee. I had to get my torn clothes sewn so that my dad would not find out. I can't work out what you mean by 'the control of race'.
2. yes
3. No, that should be 'are' to match 'how many' (plural).
4. yes _________________ Cheers m' dears! |

Thank you very much, Madam BN.
I lost the control of speed. Correct?
I need to use "ride" not "drive for bike". Right?
My right knee bruised. I bruised my right knee. Is also correct?
Can I replace "would" with "might"?
I think I read a post wrongly where it was mentioned that with quantity, time etc...we use singular? _________________ Naeem PTC |

The best thing you can say is 'I lost control' This means you lost control of the bike.
Yes, we ride bikes, regardless of whether they are pedal bikes or motor bikes.
'I bruised my right knee' is the best option.
In that sentence 'might' would be incorrect.
We use uncountable time as a singular noun, but units of time (such as minutes, hours or days) are countable. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |
