2. I haven't seen her in the last few years.(OK)
2a. I haven't seen her since the last few years.(wrong)
3. I haven't seen him for over five years. (OK)
3a. I haven't seen him since over five years. (wrong)
4. I have been in Chennai since February.(OK)
4a. I was in Chennai since February.(wrong)
Are my observation written within brackets correct or not?
