Meaning of "only too familiar" Thu May 18, 2006 22:09 pm  Meaning of "only too familiar"

Hi,

Can you help me understand the meaning of the given sentence?
It is written on a poster where a mother is holding her baby and no details, no context.

I KNOW MY FACE IS ONLY TOO FAMILIAR TOO YOUR SLEEP

Many thanks

Hi Derin

The sentence you've quoted seems to come from the lyrics of a song by Imogen Heap. But the song has nothing to do with a mother and baby.

The only interpretation I can think of would be that when the baby dreams, he/she always sees his/her mother's face (and/or vice versa --- the mother always sees her baby's face when she dreams).
