Hi Conchita

I'm starting to think the answer is "Oder" (because the Oder River is deeper than both a cup and a plate) .... Cool

Have you got any good riddles for Michael, the Arabian horse-loving landlubber? I think he has earned a tricky riddle. Laughing

Hi Amy!

Bingo!! You got it! I think it had not been really fair but I think I have been used to use a small trick!

Thanks for the landlubber Cool

By the way, I?m not afraid of a community between conchita and you. I?ll request my Blood Brother to help me. He?s a tricky man too, I think! Very Happy

Expecting your riddle!

Perhaps we should start a new thread with riddles. I mean, really, look what we've converted this thread into Rolling Eyes !

Anyway, let’s see if you can guess this one!

Pronounced as one letter,
And written with three,
Two letters there are,
And two only in me.
I'm double, I'm single,
I'm black, blue, and gray,
I'm read from both ends,
And the same either way.
What am I?

That's a difficult riddle, Conchita. But very clever! Great!

I thought of two possible answers.... But I think one is better than the other.

Let's see if Michael can think of something.

Hi together!

At first, Conchita, what do you want to do else with an opening like in this threat? Confused Particular because Bruce didn?t answer until now. As far as I?m concerned I find it a nice use! Cool

Back to your riddle. I have broken my small brain Laughing and have found out this solution:

It must be "U", "YOU" and "W". It fits nearly to every of the riddles discriptions. And in me there are two letters only, right. I only wonder what it has to do with black blue and grey! Cool Please enlighten me if my solution is correct!

Hope having the correct result

Michael

P.S.: For the moment my small brain is out of order. Crying or Very sad I needed a little help. But I?ll come back again! Laughing

Sorry, Michael, your solution is not correct. But, seeing as it is Sunday, I'll give you a (big!) push in the right direction: apart from black, blue and grey, I can be brown, green, hazelnut, almond-shaped, red, swollen, sleepy, wide open (even wide shut!), itchy and runny (especially in spring) and much, much more. You've just got to figure out the solution now!

Did you write 'threat' on purpose Razz ??

PS: The riddle isn't mine, of course. I lack the necessary imagination or whatever it takes to create them.

Hi Conchita

My second idea was similar to what Michael mentioned, except I thought of a female sheep.... Wink

Hi!

I?m really confused but I think Spencer?s idea isn?t correct although glass could have every colour.

Conchita, if the two letters in me are x+y and regarding to your adding advices it might be a seed?

Amy, do you have an other idea?

Spencer!!!!! Surprised Surprised is that loud enough?

Hi Michael

I mentioned that I had two ideas. One idea was the word "ewe".

This word is pronounced the same as the word "you". And the word "you" sounds like the letter "u". Very Happy And wouldn't a "double 'u' be the letter w" ? Very Happy

A "ewe" is a "female sheep". There are "black sheep", and, according to Google, there are also gray sheep and even blue sheep! (I didn't know that before.) Shocked

But I think there is a better solution ... especially since Conchita's riddle talks about "me" rather than "you". Wink

OK Conchita!

I have no more ideas who you would be. Confused Like German skat players would say straightly translated:

Let down your trousers Laughing

Who is it?

Or does anybody else have an idea?

Michael

P.S.: Has anybody an idea how OK appeared? Confused

Really, Michael! Doing Full Monty for charity is OK, but for a riddle? – tut tut (in other words, my eye!).

The answer to the riddle must have caught your eye by now!

HiConchita! Hi Amy!

Sorry Conchita, I have no clue what Doing Full Monty means. I only hope that I?ve not been too vivd and colourful again. Rolling Eyes

About your riddle I am used to say that I was on the wrong track. Amy was closer to the solution reagarding her word "ewe"! But, how can an eye be double and single? Confused I?ve never heard of an one eyed living creature although I know a fish who has four single eyes!

Amy, you smashed my head with your link to OK. Surprised Outch! I was been told a possibilty that is not mentioned there but I think it?s really not longer interesting! Mad You destroyed me childhood dreams! Laughing

Hi Landlubber !

To solve a riddle, you have to think in riddles! Wink

- You have 2 eyes. ("double")
- The word "I" is not only singular, but also a single letter. ("single")
Very Happy

Sorry about your smashed head and the destruction of childhood dreams! Shocked Crying or Very sad
Why don't you share the missing theory with us anyway? How will we ever be able to decide which theory is correct if we don't have all the information?
