Hi,

Are the following sentences natural to a native ear?

1. The uncertainty around potentially more store closures by and the lease-up of already vacant stores makes me nervous.

2. Was this the first one to be announced among the five projects you have underway?

3. Who would make sense managing this project? (I wanted to ask who would be a good candidate for manage this project)

Thanks,
MG.

This does not sound natural and I do not even understand exactly what you are trying to say. Instead of by do you mean "nearby"? And I am not familiar with "lease-up".

2. Was this the first one to be announced among the five projects you have underway?

Sounds natural

I would say "Who would make sense to manage this project?"

Thanks,
MG.
