Hi,

This is the pattern:

If I win the money, I shall/will buy a car.
If I won the money, I should/would a car.
If I had won a car, I should have/would have bought a car.

Alan

Conditional I and conditional II #4 (permalink) Sat Oct 15, 2005 11:07 am   Conditional I and conditional II

Katarzyna, your sentence is correct. The thing is that in this particular question we concentrate on the first conditional rather than conditional II and thanks to the forum we can discuss questions like yours too.
So, to sum it up, here are the two possible versions:

If I win the lottery, I will buy you a very big car as a present. (Conditional I)

If I won the lottery, I should/would buy you a very big car as a present.
(Conditional II)
