Hello!

Would you please let me know the difference between the following two sentences?

A 30-minute drive from his house took him to the seacoast.

A 30-minute drive from his house brought him to the seacoast.

I'd really appreciate your help.

Generally speaking, "take" implies movement away from the speaker, while "bring" implies movement towards the speaker. So, in this case "brought" is more likely to be used if the preceding narrative has been focused on the coast rather than the house.

Hi,

Is the meaning of "Country road take me home" of John Denver equivalent to the meaning of "Country road bring me home"

best regards,

In a sense, yes, though the movement is in opposite directions:
take from here to there. (so 'me' is the focus)
bring from there to here. (so 'home' is the focus)
