"We saw some of the dolphins swim/swimming/swam in the river." Are all three tenses are possible ?

We saw some of the dolphins swimming in the river. CORRECT

We saw some of the dolphins swam in the river. INCORRECT

We saw some of the dolphins as they swam in the river. CORRECT
