Hi Ashley

Normally you would not use the word "the" with the word "fate". (singular)

Normally the word "fate" is singular, but it can also be used as a plural sometimes, and then you need the word "the" (as you wrote).

What I might say:
Let fate decide (for you).
You can't fight fate.
