Hi sunflowers! Hey, Mr. Bloodbrother!

I think criticism is often necessary. Although criticism is sometimes hard to swallow, it's often helpful.

But what about unjustified criticism? Have you ever had to deal with that?

I like good criticism, even if it isn't pleasant.

In art school we had to sit through critiques of our art work every two or three weeks. At those we had to behave in a civilized manner while other people said things we did and didn't like about our artwork. Some of the things were painful to hear, and we had to decide whether they were true or not.

The result now is that my art school friends can tell each other anything they think needs saying. They do it in a very blunt way sometimes, but nobody feels hurt or takes it personally.

Hi everybody and Amy,

Sometimes something sweet can cause us to be sick. Do you think so? But criticism may be hard to swallow; it's like a bitter pill to swallow, but it helps us get over our illness Very Happy .

Amy, I have ever received unjustified criticism until now Shocked . It's painful to accept the wrong things that I have not done. Well, I really appreciate all of your ideas, especially Jamie's. It depends on whether that is true or not! If not, I don't care Very Happy .

Thanks!

Hi Sunflower

I hope you didn't understand my question about "unjustified" criticism as a criticism of your post. It was simply a question that came to mind after Michael's post. Wink

Your comment that some sweet things can make us sick was very good! I agree. That also reminds me of an expression in English:
"too much of a good thing".

Hi together!

Sorry, I?ve got a cold and hardly can think!

My post wasn?t thought as a criticism! It is really an interesting headline but I missed a little bit a short explanation from sunflower. I mean usually the author of an topic -that?s my experience here- explains his/her motivation for asking a question. In this sense I found no point to reply and I tried to start the communication by making such an expression. I appologize if my reply should have annoy anyone. Embarassed And I must say, I?ve expected to receive harder criticism.

Further I think criticism, whether it is justified or is not, is something good. Like Jamie wrote, it helps us to think through our acting or charakter and our regards to the world around us. Of course, one ought not to exaggerate that but reflexing our regards time by time could help avoiding stress.

Sometimes it might be hard to hear what others think about oneselfs but especially experiencing negativ criticism is helpful to figure out some points in ourselfs which really are existent and make stress.

Hi Michael

So sorry to hear that you're under the weather. Do you think the weather has something to do with your cold? In my neck of the woods it's been rainy and cold, with temperatures around freezing at night. Brrrr....

I understood your first post to mean that you think all criticism is good. And that's why I asked my question. I was curious and wanted to know what you and everyone else think of a certain type of criticism.

I think I'll stop writing now since everyone seems to be misunderstanding me. Embarassed

Get well soon, Landlubber.

Hi Amy!

Thanks for your good wishes! Cool I?ve been standing in the cold weather in the stable sweating.

That?s what is all about criticism. Don?t worry, everything is fine! And anyhow I achieved my goals writing the first post. Now we have a communication. You have every possibility to explain your point of view, as far as I am concerned, without annoying anybody.Cool

Unfortunately sunflower didn?t reply your post although she brought up this topic. My hope has been that she explained her ideas. I?m sure she understood you the way you suggested her to understand you.

Don?t mind. I liked going on chatting at this topic, also with you. Smile
