May I ask the difference between "would you mind..." and "would you please..."? Which one is more polite?

Thanks, Hossein

They are both quite polite; tone of voice is more important than wording.

Thanks a lot, but which one is better to be used in writing when asking something in the most polite manner?

Thanks, Hossein

Hello,
I often listen to use " do + verb 1". What the meaning is it? what is the function of "do" in the sentence?
Thank you

'Do' used as the operator like that in affirmative statements is called 'emphatic do'. As the name reveals, it is used for emphasis, especially when the previous speaker has denied the fact:

A: I like sushi.
B: I thought you didn't like fish.
A: Well, I don't usually, but I do like sushi.
