Personally I would use TAKE instead of FETCH in this sentence. or maybe fetch is more British and take more US ?[/b]

If you take someone from the station, you carry them which is almost impossible so if you use 'take' in this context it sounds pretty funny.

Facing Problem
I am not clear about the difference between fetch, bring, and take...I have clicked on take, which is wrong, but we often think that fetch is used for non living things, bring is also for nonliving thing, and we usually use take in our conversation for example I will take u to the market, same as we use pick up

thanks

Thanks a lot Janna. "to fetch" is a new verb. So it's very difficult to recognize it.

They are all very confusing because hey are so closely linked. It's even hard to define each of them without using one of the other words to explain your meaning!

fetch - go somewhere other than where you are now, collect someone or something, bring the person/thing back, either to where you are now, or some other predetermined place.
"I went to fetch my brother from the station." This usage of 'fetch' is not used in all parts of the US, so should be avoided unless you are certain that it's understood.
bring - take someone or something with you when you go somewhere.
"I will bring my brother with me when I visit you."
take - to bring someone/something with you from one place to another.
"He will take a gift home with him."

By the way, I'm afraid I would disagree with Torsten that 'take' necessarily involves carrying someone/something.
"Take him by the hand and lead him across the road."
"Take the dog for a walk."
"Please take the children to school."

The reason 'take' is wrong in this context is because you aren't going there with him, you are going there to collect him.
