Relative clause (omission of 'that') Mon Jun 12, 2006 0:04 am  Relative clause (omission of 'that')

Hello! How are you?

I always hesitate about the omission of "that"
in relative clauses.

Can I omit both "that" in this sentence?

EX: I hope (that) you?ll pay the same price
(that) they pay.

I am sure about the first one, but not
about the second one.

I have got another question about this
example.

Is the second part: "the same price
(that) they pay" a relative clause or
a comparative? Should I use
"as" instead of "that"?

I am really quite confused.

Thanks in advance!

You can omit "that" in both places.
