Hi Tom

It would be correct to use are (because it's two things connected by and).

Dear Amy

What is your opinion about the same?

I was just wondering that if we looked at "courage and determination" as one characteristic, "is" would not sound wrong. What do you think?

Hi Tom

Third time's a charm? Third time lucky? Wink

It would be correct to use are: two nouns connected by and = plural.
