Annual report phrases and vocabulary materials? Thu Jun 22, 2006 15:10 pm  Annual report phrases and vocabulary materials?

Hi, who would like to share some ideas on annual reports and annual meetings? Maybe we can have some type of brainstorming session to come up with appropriate vocabulary and contents?
Here is my list and it would be great if you could complete it:

  • annual report
  • annual shareholder meeting
  • shareholder letter
  • annual meeting
  • reviewing investor relations
  • executive summary
  • board of directors
  • corporate ranks and titles
  • invitations to the annual meeting
  • preparing an annual shareholder conference
  • taking down the minutes
  • creating a structure for the conference
  • booking hotels, flights, rental cars and catering
  • organizing conference equipment
  • appointing a conference moderator
  • presenting the facts and figures

.....

As I said, this is just the result of a short brainstorming, I'm sure there are much more items to add?

Thanks for your support,
Torsten

How to write an invitation for an annual meeting Mon Jun 26, 2006 12:50 pm  How to write an invitation for an annual meeting

Hi Amy many thanks for expanding the keyword list.
What do you think of creating an invitation to the annual meeting? We could run some type of contest to see who writes the best documents for the annual meeting (invitations, agendas, summaries, minutes, etc.)

Here is my proposal: (it's just a draft and not finished yet)

Dear [name of shareholder],

Thank you for your trust and support. On September 23rd this year you are invited to our annual shareholder meeting. This will be an excellent opportunity for you to learn about the results of your investment. You will get all the information you need to maintain our business relationship and make further decisions....
