Hi teachers

The queen offers colourful stay-laces and laces Snow White up so tight.

What does stay-laces mean?

Thanks

A stay is a corset or a tight piece of underwear women wore in the past.

Staylaces are laces (thin strips of material) used for tying up or fastening corsets.

Dear Jupiter,
a staylace is used to lace a corset tightly around the waist.
